Baby Boy

Hi friends.
I will try and not be too gloomy as I am writing this post but to be honest I feel very gloomy. I have been to my friends mums funeral today which saddened me deeply. They were all so brave and Denise I love you and I am so proud of you. Big hugs. As soon as I got home I found out that another dear friend lost her mum on Monday. Double wammy eh!!! I did not tell Russ about the second loss as he was so chuffed today to be invited by his boss to go to Manchester to watch the Man United match this evening and I did not want to spoil his fun. So I am feeling a bit sorry for myself and the wine is going down very well and I may possibly start to slur my sentences soon. - is that possible!!!
On the plus side, to try and cheer myself up I made a card. It is a LOTV stamp Baby Boy which I have had for a while now and not inked up before.

Baby Boy

I started with a card blank from Craftwork Cards. The papers are from Nitwit collections called Sunshine and Laughter. I have coloured the little cutie with a mixture of Copic Markers and Pro Markers.

The border is by Memory Box and is called Cherish border - available from many on line shops.

The ribbon and the bling button I received after winning a challenge and are from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop which I need to pay a visit to and stock up on the gorgeous ribbon. Hey, there's a thought - that would cheer me up no end. And the beauty of on line shops - they never close!!!

The flowers are from WOC and the sentiments are from LOTV. The butterfly is a punch all over the page punch from Martha Stewart.

I am entering this card into the following challenges
http://mymumscraftshopchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ - Challenge 75 - Hearts and flowers
Enjoy the rest of your evening friends.

Really like the colors you are using here and your coloring is very nice! I especially like the blue pearls as hubcaps on the wagon - cute! A lot of nice detail here.

Slurring your sentences made me laugh! love that. I am so sorry for so much loss, that is so depressing and to put on a good face so your DH doesn't know is so brave. Glad you were able to comfort yourself making this fabulous card to share with us. I HAVE to have that die now, lol. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Judy. I did message you yesterday so I don't know if it got lost in cyber space somewhere. First of all I would like to thank you for the lovely message you posted on my blog. It made me smile when I read it. I am sorry but I wasn't blogging when I bought the die you are enquiring about so I didn't make a note of the name. I have looked on the web for you though and have seen one that looks very similar and it is called Romantic Rectangles (Spellbinder). Hope this helps
Take care Judy.
Hugs Sharon. x

So sorry to hear your sad news, and a double whammy is never good. Being distracted with a glass of wine and craft should definately help, especially when this little guy is sooooo cute! Helen

Your poor friends - they must be feeling so sad - so sorry for their loss. Awful news like that can have a big effect on our moods and outlooks - but hopefully it makes us thankful for what we still have.
