A New Challenge over at Besties.

Good morning friends.

Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I am gutted. Supposed to be going to see Evie today but I have such a terrible cough I can't go. She is doing so well and now weighs 3lb 1oz and is more adorable by the day. Wish she didn't live o far away. Oh well, only one thing for it - crafty time.

Today sees the start of a new challenge over at Besties where the theme is everyone's favourite - Anything Goes.  The winner of this challenge will win 5 digi's . We will also have a DT favourite who will be invited to be a guest designer for one of our forthcoming chalenges. On the Besties challenge site is information on where you can purchase these adorable images - though be warned, you may very well be spoiled for choice.
This image was not my original choice but I made such a bad job of the colouring I had to start again. I chose an image which was not so time consuming to colour and I have to say I think she is gorgeous.

I have coloured her with copics.
Hair W5, W4, W1
Skin Ell and Pro marker Blush
Eyes BG000
Shadow around the image Polychromo's light phthalo blue and Cobalt Blue.

The Dark Pink and Light Pink flowers behind the large daisy are from The Range but I cannot find the info on their site to reference them.

The gems are from my stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Pile It On - Embellishment Crazy
Corrosive Challenge - Tic Tac Toe (flowers, sentiment, layers)

Tilda with Corkscrews.

Good evening friends.
Hope you are all well. The weather here is miserable and I decided that the best thing to do was lock myself in my craft room and here is the result. Lots of music as always but thought it best not to craft with the wine this time as it was only mid afternoon!!!
I have used one of my recent Magnolia purchases, Tilda with Corkscrews.

I have coloured her with Distress Inks and Frantaged around the image as I have with the butterflies and the doily in the left corner.

The deep pink flower in the bottom right is from The Range and I cannot find it in their products list to add it below.

The ribbon and gems are from my own stash.

A few close up images of various parts of my card.

I would like to thank you all for my concerns over Russ's heart. We are a bit in limbo as to know what they will do next until he has had his MRI scan.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

A New Challenge over at Diva's by Design and a Russ update.

Good morning friends.
Before I tell you about the new challenge over at Diva's by Design I would like to thank you for your lovely comments and best wishes for Russ and myself. I told you that Russ had had  major heart surgery four years ago to graft a vein onto the side of his heart that had no veins or arteries, (yes, I know it sounds worrying stuff) and believe me I have been very worried. Well after an angiogram on Friday, it was discovered that the graft had disappeared!!! The consultant thinks that because the right side of his heart was working so well his body rejected the new vein. This means we are back to square one with only one side of his heart working and an artery that has a kink in it which could have terrible consequences. We have to wait now for an appointment for another MRI scan where the specialist can review what happens next. We have to try and live our lives as normal whilst we wait.
Now on to the challenge at Diva's by Design. We are being sponsored this week by Iva Nova Chest - a place for some gorgeous crafting goodies. The theme for this challenge is Autumn colours. I didn't think I would be able to make the deadline for this challenge with all that has gone on this week, but I locked myself in my craft room with some music and wine - had a good old sing song and a crafty few hours and am really pleased with the results.
I have used the gorgeous Drip Drop Tilda which I masked before stamping the Spring Fence.

The picture at the top I photographed by laying the card flat near a window and positioning my camera above the image whilst the second photo was taken with the card being placed in a light box.  I don't know if the above photo is a bit too blue but then again the second images' background is a bit too grey even though I used a daylight lamp. There is no pleasing some people eh!!! What I would prefer is a bright white background but I can't seem to achieve this. Any suggestions crafty buddies?

The ribbon is from my own stash.

I have added Frantage to the Butterflies and the Doily.

The leaves were stamped, cut out and coloured with Adirondack inks. I love these leaves but it is only the second time I have used them even though I have had the stamp about 4 years.

The gems on the butterflies are from my own stash.
